Along with being swamped with homework assignments, band practice, volunteer work, and a double role in a Shakesphere play A MidSummer's Night Dream, I am returning to the world of blogs. Sorry u guys...

Anyway, enough about me. I wanted to focus on a hot-ass producer that's been around for a while. Rodney Jerkins, currently known as DarkChild, has been in the game for over ten years and his musical productions have included the likes of Michael Jackson and Britney Spears. Introducing...Orson - "Aint No Party"

This is crazy. Sorry for the lack of updates but the net is not dishing out songs I really want to download lately...Anyway I've noticed music is merging--and quickly...Rock is turning into Hip-Hop, vice versa, and its just cool how music is rapidly changing.

Anyway, after that rant, I came across a HOT overseas band called ORSON and their first single off of their new album is entitled "Aint No Party". This song is SICK. It's MAROON 5 with R&B influenced vocals...try it out.

Remember that album cover? A little over a year ago this album, which I put together and made the art for, was floating the net for download. Cool...Anyway, here are a few songs that were lost (I FEEL IT) or either just left off the US version of the Emancipation of Mimi.

SECRETLOVE is another song left off the album but this one was produced by SWIZZ BEATZ. It's nice. Kind of reminds me of Fantasia's "Surround U".

Good to see that MS. KELLY is making a quick recovery from her collapse in Nigeria yesterday...

"Kelly Rowland collapsed onstage early Sunday in Lagos, Nigeria, where she had been performing. Dehydration was the cause, her rep, Yvette Noel Schure, said in a statement. Rowland was taken to an undisclosed Lagos hospital for a check-up and was reported to be in "good condition."

I can definitely see why this Kelly Rowland track was left off of MS. KELLY...its a nice song, don't get me wrong, but the vibe does not fit the overall feel of her album. But all in all, TELL ME isn't all that bad. It's just not a Kelly Rowland song.

Mario - "No Definition" (CDQ)

Hmm...Tuesday I posted MARIO's WHY and now, the music is coming in...his album, like I previously posted, is set for an August 21st release. This is OFFICIAL because online stores have already put the album up for sale...NO DEFINITION (is supposed to be produced by Timbaland) is nice...not as good as WHY but I'll take it. Try it out.

You know, I really loved DEELISHIS when she was on the FLAVOR OF LOVE 2 and the image that she portrayed for black women but lately her image (to me) has taken a move to the "video ho/porn" side...this new single, RUMPSHAKER does no help to her image also...don't get me wrong, the production is tight (vocals are also on point!) but something about DEELISHIS is really killing my love for her. Damn Mario! How about this album is being pushed back YET AGAIN to August 21st? That's like a year after the first date for MARIO BARRET: EFFORTLESS. Whatever the case is, the album WILL BE HOT because every track (except that dame HOW DO I BREATHE nonsense) that has leaked has been fire. Check out this track, WHY that just leaked in its entirety...definitely one of the stronger songs that will be on the album.

Introducing...Jessi Malay

Jessi Malay is a former member of the girl group NO SECRETS (best known for their remake of KIDS IN AMERICA) who is now set to release her first R&B/Hip-Hop self titled album. The first single, GIMMIE featuring LIL SCRAPPY was released late last year and did not spark enough intrest for an album release...the next single, entitled BOOTY BANGS is a hot, late night Crunk song that will definitely get you on your feet. Personally, GIMMIE has been in and out of my MP3 player for a few months now and this new song is kinda hot...take a chance with JESSI MALAY.

You know, I never thought about making COME BACK a second single choice for Kelly but now that it's confirmed, I think it was a great choice...of course, the song is produced by none other than SCOTT STORCH (who also produced WORK) and will definitely be a club banga for the summer. Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West & Pharrell - "Us Placers" (HOT)

This wasn't unexpected but perhaps more anticipated...For years I had wondered why there was never a collabo between PHARRELL and KANYE WEST. Then, NUMBER ONE came and went and I was satisfied, but a bit dissappointed because it sounded like they recorded it seperately and pieced it together at the end. US PLACERS proves to pack the heat I needed from these three. All I have to say is this is fire. Plain and simple.

Introducing...The Arctic Monkeys - "Fluorescent Adolescent"

I am diggin the sound of the ARCTIC MONKEYS. Now, I know that this band has become a new part of the TRL generation of kids but many R&B heads have no clue about this band. Their sound: JUST LIKE THE FRATELLIS. I posted a song from the FRATELLIS a few months back and the ARCTIC MONKEYS sound just like this band. Their new single, entitled FLUORESCENT ADOLESCENT is fair in my book...not the best from this band but it will do.
