You know, I really loved DEELISHIS when she was on the FLAVOR OF LOVE 2 and the image that she portrayed for black women but lately her image (to me) has taken a move to the "video ho/porn" side...this new single, RUMPSHAKER does no help to her image also...don't get me wrong, the production is tight (vocals are also on point!) but something about DEELISHIS is really killing my love for her. Jessi Malay is a former member of the girl group NO SECRETS (best known for their remake of KIDS IN AMERICA) who is now set to release her first R&B/Hip-Hop self titled album. The first single, GIMMIE featuring LIL SCRAPPY was released late last year and did not spark enough intrest for an album release...the next single, entitled BOOTY BANGS is a hot, late night Crunk song that will definitely get you on your feet. Personally, GIMMIE has been in and out of my MP3 player for a few months now and this new song is kinda hot...take a chance with JESSI MALAY.

This wasn't unexpected but perhaps more anticipated...For years I had wondered why there was never a collabo between PHARRELL and KANYE WEST. Then, NUMBER ONE came and went and I was satisfied, but a bit dissappointed because it sounded like they recorded it seperately and pieced it together at the end. US PLACERS proves to pack the heat I needed from these three. All I have to say is this is fire. Plain and simple.

I am diggin the sound of the ARCTIC MONKEYS. Now, I know that this band has become a new part of the TRL generation of kids but many R&B heads have no clue about this band. Their sound: JUST LIKE THE FRATELLIS. I posted a song from the FRATELLIS a few months back and the ARCTIC MONKEYS sound just like this band. Their new single, entitled FLUORESCENT ADOLESCENT is fair in my book...not the best from this band but it will do.
